Building permits

Energy certificates

We are authorized to issue energy certificates for building permits. In the energy certificate, we can also make recommendations on how to improve the building’s energy performance. The following types of buildings are subject to the law on energy certificates:

Buildings taken into use:

Residential buildings (maximum of 2 apartments) that were taken into use after 1980, commercial buildings, office buildings, buildings in the healthcare industry, community buildings and schools.
From 1 July 2017: Residential buildings (maximum of 2 apartments) that were taken into use before 1980.

New buildings:

All the above-mentioned building types
Low energy and passive houses
