When building or renovating in sensitive environments such as public construction projects or industrial settings, there are exceptionally high demands for cleanliness and operational reliability.
Our work methods, in accordance with the P1 cleanliness class, ensure that the building’s indoor air remains fresh and that the surroundings are clean and hygienic when the building is taken into use.

Our site manager, Pia Gammal, explains more about how we apply the P1 standard in practice.

What does P1 construction actually mean?

P1 ensures that indoor air remains of high quality throughout the construction phase. We make sure that dust does not spread, and cleaning plays a crucial role in maintaining the requirements of cleanliness class P1.

Do we always work according to P1?

We apply the P1 cleanliness class in projects where the highest level of cleanliness is required, for example, during renovations and extensions in hospitals, healthcare facilities, and other sensitive buildings.
In other projects, we follow the client’s specific requirements, but the principles of clean construction are always part of our approach.

When do we start implementing the P1 principles?

Already during the planning stage. That’s when we establish logistics, dust zoning, and routines for dust management.
It’s essential that all parties involved in the project: the client, subcontractors, and partners, commit to these standards from the start.

We have extensive experience in projects with high cleanliness requirements. For us, P1 is more than just a standard, it’s a method for delivering quality, safety, and added value to our clients.
